At their canal fun day and duck race, Kingswinford & Stourbridge Lions Club combined their fundraising with a great day out for local families. The Event was held on 9th June on the playing fields adjacent to Wordsley Canal Junction. As well as the main event of racing ducks from the lock, there was canoeing, boat trips and stalls representing various local charities.
Proceeds from the race and food sales will go to one of the Lions current charities, Papyrus which works to prevent teenage suicides and the event has also helped the other charities attending to promote their efforts and raise funds.
